WINTER HAIR CARE SOLUTIONS
Is your hair “acting out”? Chances are it’s a combination of the harsh winter air and the heat sources used in our living and working areas. The good is we don’t have to go into hibernation until spring, when moisture returns and our hair stops crackling! One or more of the following options should be compatible with your hair type, budget and maintenance level. As always, it’s recommended to contact your stylist or one of our staff to help assist you in your choice.
Fly -Away Hair:
Fine to medium textured hair can be moisture balanced with a light leave-in conditioner, or a light weight shine product.
Medium to coarse hair or over processed hair can benefit from a heavier leave-in conditioner ,a hair masque, or a shine product with a heavier consistency.
Dull, Flat or Out-of-Season Color:
Just as the colors in our wardrobe change with the seasons, our hair should reflect that change as well. Old summer color can wash out our skin color, downplay a beautiful eye color or even make us look tired! Color can add a richness, shine and vibrancy that our hair lacks during the winter months. For a low maintenance option, a semi/demi color gradually washes out and can add depth, shine and vibrancy .For a more dramatic change, or greater longevity, permanent color can also increase the level of shine, vibrancy and depth to your existing color. Those of you who are looking for a slight color change may benefit from low-lights, or a clear color glaze.
Moisture Infusions:
Sometimes our hair needs a deeper level of care that a leave-in conditioner or color service won’t cure. In these situations ,we offer deep conditioning services in our salon as well as products to use at home to maintain the professional result.
